DCC Counseling is a faith inspired, research based service team of disciples created to offer free of charge, biblical counseling help to the Denver community. DCC Counseling offers counselor training classes, workshops, support groups, and short term, individual one on one counseling. DCC Counseling seeks to integrate short term counseling with the God given resources of the DCC church, including ongoing mentoring, small group membership, Bible study groups, sermons, etc. Counseling should not draw people away from the communal life of God's church but rather help clients to participate in a more useful, healthy, and effective way. DCC Counseling oversees all Denver Church of Christ counseling groups to ensure effective counseling skills and biblical direction.

DCC Counseling accomplishes this mission primarily through four avenues:

• Teaching ministry designed for DCC Counseling Service Team members and other church leadership to further develop basic counseling skills through workshops, group training, and individual teaching

• Partnerships with family group leaders to assist in more difficult counseling situations

• Short term individual counseling sessions with DCC members

• Support Groups
