November Day of Prayer and Fasting

Written by Rob Ferry | Oct 31, 2017 12:00:00 PM
Dear SE region,
We believe God honors bold prayers because bold prayers honor God!  So, on the first day of each month in 2017, we as a region have committed ourselves to pray and fast for specific goals.  And God has blessed us by answering many of our faithful prayers.
With faith that God will honor our bold prayers, please join together with your brothers and sisters for a day of prayer and fasting of your choice and duration, tomorrow, Wednesday, November 1st, as we lift up the following requests to God to invite his blessing and power.

1- That hearts would be moved to give sacrificially for our annual International Day of Giving for HOPE on Sunday, November 19th, and that we would EXCEED our faith goal of every member donating as least $60!  These gifts will strengthen vital programs in over 60 countries through HOPE's global network of love and compassion. (Matthew 25:35-40) More details HERE!

2- That each of our 25 Family Groups in the SE region would see at least ONE person baptized or restored in 2017! (Matthew 28:18-20)

So far in 2017 we have seen the following 21 people added to our family: Sasha Lott, Sherree Perez, Carmelita McIntyre, Elaine Brimage (I), Katherine Vogel, Dan Lapierre, Sebastian Murrillo, Amani Pearson, Anna Hoskins, Gene Vuehig, Cambrie Vergeire, Hunter Clemons, Christina Heese, Peggy Phillips, Alejandro Ortega, Lizeth Salazar, John Kibbie, Kathleen Kibbie, Katia , David Webb, Kristin Webb.

3- That 'not one would be lost' from our region in 2017! (John 6:39)

4- That God would direct our steps and bless our search for the perfect couple to join our Youth and Family Ministry team to serve as congregational teen ministry leaders under the leadership of Sonny and Kim Rhyne, advancing and launching our teen ministry to new heights! (Esther 4:14)

5- And lets not forget those who have been devastated by RECENT NATURAL DISASTERS.  Join in heartfelt prayer that God would bring them consolation and comfort and strength and healing and courage to move forward. That we would remember those who have lost their lives so suddenly and those families forever changed by grief and loss. That God would bless the work of relief agencies and those proving emergency assistance. And that we would respond with generosity in prayer, in assistance, and in financial aid to the best of our abilities. (Psalm 46)

Thanks in advance for joining in prayer with Dawn and I and the rest of the region this Wednesday!

Grace and Peace,

Rob and Dawn
